About Me

I have been a literacy coach for Monroe Public Schools for almost twelve years. I spent the first 15 years of my teaching career as a speech-language pathologist in Ohio and Michigan. I have conducted numerous local study groups and workshops and have also presented at ASCD and at the first National Literacy Coaching Summit in Corpus Christi, Texas. I love to learn, teach, and collaborate with others. Professionally, I've worn a variety of hats and in many ways, I feel like I am just getting started.

I've been married for 24 years and both of my children attended Lincoln, Custer, Monroe Middle School, and Monroe High School. My son is currently a freshman at MHS and my daughter is a sophomore at Bowling Green State University. My husband and I enjoy musical theater and are supporters of the dance and performing arts community in Monroe. We are also big sports fans and during football season, if we aren't  watching MHS, Detroit Lions, BGSU, or University of Toledo, we can often be found serving concessions at Navarre field during First Downers games.
